Native American Project

Assignment Instructions

Choose one Native American group from the areas we covered in class: Northwest Coast, Plains, Eastern Woodlands (People of the Forest), or Southwest (People of the Desert).

Use the attached videos to help review details.

Create an visual example of the tribal life and home of the group you choose.

Ideas can be any of the following:

A detailed drawing, painting, or picture collage

A diorama (model in a shoebox)

A powerpoint, presi, or DiscoveryEducation Board (see DiscEd website for details)

Be sure to include examples of clothing, food (gathering, farming, or hunting), and their type of home.

This will be the 1 Semester Project and will count as an Assessment Grade (70%).

The project is due by December 1, 2017. Late assignments will be marked down one grade.

Projects should not be larger than a posterboard (3ft x 3ft) nor smaller than an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.

Student Passwords

Whenever possible, students' usernames and passwords consist of their Student ID number for the username, and the password is made up as follows: First initial Capitalized, last initial lowercase, two digit birthday month, two digit birthday year, 01 for boys or 02 for girls.

Example Password for Kerrie Yax born December 1970 would be: Ky127002

(K is capital, y is lowercase, 12 for December, 70 for 1970, 02 for girl.)
